The interior courtyard of the old couvent in Lisbon unfolds like a timeworn tapestry, where the cool, muted stone contrasts with the vibrant hues of azulejos that adorn the walls. These intricate ceramic tiles, painted in shades of cobalt blue, soft yellow, and emerald green, tell stories of faith and history, each tile a glimpse into the past. Sunlight filters through the archways, casting delicate shadows that play upon the tiled surfaces, accentuating the ornate patterns that swirl and flow like whispers of devotion.
