Thick water with weight and shadow, a deep teal-black surface rolling into small, chaotic peaks that never quite resolve into a clean pattern. Thin threads of dying warm light snake across the crests, orange-pink against all that cool darkness, tracing the ridgelines like veins of ember running through slate. It's less about any single wave than the overall texture of restlessness — dozens of small swells crossing and colliding at odd angles, their intersections catching just enough light to read as a loose, irregular net thrown across the frame. Unlike the calmer, more meditative water images in this set, there's real turbulence here, a sense of the sea caught mid-agitation rather than settling into rhythm. The warmth of that dying light against the cold, heavy blue-black gives it real tension — beauty and unease sitting right next to each other, which is exactly what "dark current" promises.
